shieeet, did they actually ask you? @Roman Dreams
they didn't ask
@Ghostler they weren't very cooperative with the Nazis, since being the rural community was independent and didn't care about the politics of fascism. So a lot of people would hide in the mountains to avoid being forced to help soldiers
they were farmers who just didn't want to be involved in a war
O hek
Anyone catch the new Blader Runner? Just watched the original yesterday and absolutely loved it. I've heard the new one is good as well.
I do want to see it, heard some good things
watched it with the company a few days back
rented out a whole thatre room
i think it might be better than the original
some people consider it heresy or whatever, but i don't say it lightly, it's not knocking on the original, i just don't think that the new one could have been much better
minus a few minor gripes
it's everything a sequel or remake should be, hyper respectful of the source material, riffs on the same things that made the original great, doesn't sell out to 'current market trends' etc. overall a REALLY good movie, but LONG
3 hours, go prepared.
Its so good
I love it. I hope the Asian sales bring the movie a good profit

Thomas Carlyle's Latter Day Pamphlets is an interesting read.
I read 50 pages on anatomy of fascism last night
I would meme it as
Fascism
>muh feels
>muh no doctrines
Yeah a big part of fascism is tapping into the frustrated feelings of the population.
Don't think it's wrong to do so, emotions can't be completely written off as useless. But fascism doesn't have one specific doctrine. Each movement is different and a different doctrine is adopted for each once it has matured enough.
@Roman Dreams How do you feel about the book so far? I like how the author attacks the topic.
@Polak it feels fresh, my education of fascism ended with high school courses which never went into enough autistic detail
