@OOX of Flames I live near a pretty large town/towns so no village starting required:)
yeah I like that strategy
so you can be as close to town as you want to be
but everyone's still at most a half hour or so out
Exactly
so we could still meet up once a month or participate in politics
You plan on driving 30-40 minutes to go visit people but it's not bad.
For sure. We meet up with a couple families once a month just for that. Fellowship with like-minded people.
I know 3 men who are currently running, or have already ran and won, in the local politics.
Harpster, Idaho County, North Central, ID Land For Sale - 46032 Acres
poast link
wow that's beautiful
46 acres
still awesome
needs moar trees
lots of grazing for cattle though:)
wonder about water...
Seems to be about 1000 per acre in idaho
or we could start some online website like gofundme where there's no time limit and we just keep socking money away in it with no risk involved?
the money issue is a big one
we have some savings put away for this, but it's for our own piece of land
putting it all into a pool and then divvying it up almost always leads to tension and animosity
we might have better luck achieving a point of saturation within a region
in other words, we all move up to a general location, all within a half hour drive to a smallish town, or something like that
so we each buy our own lots in places that fit our own budgets
I think that works better than a "commune." Mostly because of the animosity thing:) Dividing a big chunk of land, 200-300 acres, with 2-3 families would probably be doable.
why would we pool money?
it's a common thing people who do this kind of thing tend to do
and it would get us onto some land quicker
Im just buying the land and letting other NS live on a rent scenario
Enough rent to pay their share in income tax, maybe more to build a permaculture or community funds
I'd like to get a big chunk of land and put some rental cabins and stuff on there, to bnb it out, and also hold events and workshops
that's my plan
I think you need a license to bnb
then I'll get a license
it varies by state and location
Im just letting NS rent 5 acres, some rules in place, pay up to me for tax and stuff
@Marlow who will want to bn b in such a remote place?
