@Dirt Pig Sorta. The people of Israel and their law were intended to show man's fallen nature. This is laid out in Romans and Galatians. The law existed to prove that man could not live according to a moral standard, that we are in sin and in need of a savior.

Also you have to understand the difference between the sects modern day Jews are descendants of the pharisees
