Aka
yeah but if theist is with other people
he will be way more bearable
he will be with me and others
Pope Alexander VI
i read lefabrve wasnt actually excommunicated
he wasn't validly, because the reason was ridiculous and uncanonical
Again the primary reason he founded the SSPX was to continue administering the Mass and sacraments to the faithful under the traditional pre-VII form, which would have been impossible any other way
faithful laity who were in a spiritual crisis without that
ok serious quesytion how am i supposed to celebrate all these amazing feast days
FSSPers wouldn't have their fssp and summorum pontificum if he hadn't done it
probably true
If you have a 1962 missal it has dedicated prayers for all of the feast days
True, it's more about the future now. FSSP is growing whilst the SSPX situation seems to only be done right by a conservative pope. Kinda waiting for that so things get cleared up. I just don't want people to fall for sedes.
Not saying SSPX is sede to clarfiy. But even in my parish voices are heard. We have to be careful.
true but the sspx is anti-sede too
^^
yeah dont have that
a missal
Just because we dont know what wouldve happened doesnt mean lefebvre and others made the best decision for the future of the church
We dont know what a little more laity and a little more clergy would have done to support Benedict. But instead his allies chastised him and seperated themselves as SSPX. Its possible that the St Gallen Mafia would have been defeated for good. But now we have a Francis Pontificate. And i think it vouod have been avoided if more Faithful remained to support her Papa Emeritus in the fight against modernism
But we will never know either way UNLESS i see "significant" numbers indicating SSPX priests or faithful slowly returning to the church. Due to whatever. Then i would cacnonize lefebvre lol
Ratzinger/Benedict was a slightly less liberal modernist, and regardless I’ve been talking about the 1970s in the immediate wake of VII.
We're talking about a time when high altars and altar rails were being physically torn out of churches, and clown masses/'new sacraments' being forced on the laity
Then this is just a misunderstanding lmao. There is indeed a big difference between then and now. My own archbishop removed the table himself as sign of what is to come.
It really is a misunderstanding
Yeah man them clown masses were real af
And the scandal of all those nuns becoming defacto whores and stuff
JMJ
Times had a magazine with that on the cover
Scandalous
