Alright thank you for citing this

2019-11-04 15:21:07 UTC

So in the heliocentric model the moon is 384k miles

2019-11-04 15:21:09 UTC

Yeah no problem, a lot of people tend to just post memes or something with no citation.

2019-11-04 15:21:16 UTC

And according to the source this thing is 1m miles

2019-11-04 15:22:46 UTC

The first image is the lunar surface and the earth behind it, while the second one is the moon crossing the earth, from around 600k miles away zoomed in

2019-11-04 15:26:33 UTC

Yes, but in the 1960's picture, the Earth is made to look small.

2019-11-04 15:26:36 UTC

And now, it looks massive.

2019-11-04 15:26:40 UTC

Inconsistency.

2019-11-04 15:28:00 UTC

It’s small in the first image because this is the view of the earth from 384k miles away, the lunar surface. The observatory is 1m miles away, zooming in on the moon passing in front of the earth from it’s perspective

2019-11-04 15:29:35 UTC

1m miles away?

2019-11-04 15:29:39 UTC

So where would it be?

2019-11-04 15:29:46 UTC

Certainly not on Earth.

2019-11-04 15:30:09 UTC

@rivenator12113 Thats so wrong lmao, if you did any research such as literally a simple google search youre able to see the landing sites from earth, you may not be able to literally see the flag quite yet as telescopes cant zoom that far in but you can see the areas they landed https://www.skyandtelescope.com/observing/how-to-see-all-six-apollo-moon-landing-sites/

2019-11-04 15:30:52 UTC

Also oak do you have any idea how depth perception works

2019-11-04 15:30:52 UTC

Lol how can an observatory on Earth see Earth from behind the moon?

2019-11-04 15:31:07 UTC

Its not behind the moon smh

2019-11-04 15:31:29 UTC

earth magically get bigger?

2019-11-04 15:32:29 UTC

1m miles away from the earth

2019-11-04 15:32:33 UTC

Obviously it isn’t on the earth

2019-11-04 15:32:41 UTC

“until 3 January 2019 when the Chang'e 4 spacecraft made the first landing on the far side.”

2019-11-04 15:32:45 UTC

Different focal points increase the size of the background. The pic with the "giant" earth is incredibly zoomed in.

2019-11-04 15:32:51 UTC

It’s in an orbit around the earth farther away, past the moon

2019-11-04 15:33:52 UTC

Can’t open that thing

2019-11-04 15:33:55 UTC

I know, but the size of the earth in relation to the moon doesnt change.

2019-11-04 15:34:08 UTC

It aint on the moon

2019-11-04 15:34:16 UTC

I dont get what youre thinking

2019-11-04 15:34:32 UTC

I think there are a lot of points that could prove the earth is flat or were in a sim its just the fact that you guys keep grasping for ghosts that arent there, also stop looking at things that even flat earth cant explain then saying “its a government conspiracy and it was faked”

2019-11-04 15:35:38 UTC

what do you mean the size of the earth in relation to the moon doesn't change?

2019-11-04 15:36:11 UTC

Hes trying to say since youre on the moon in the first one it shouldn’t get bugger if youre behind the moon in the second one

2019-11-04 15:36:53 UTC

Boosk you’re a glober?

2019-11-04 15:36:55 UTC

oh, well, it *absolutely should* with a shorter field of view.

2019-11-04 15:37:00 UTC

yup

2019-11-04 15:37:12 UTC

Gucci

2019-11-04 15:38:27 UTC

I drew up this thing that should kinda help explain it to you

2019-11-04 15:38:35 UTC

Where can I share an image

2019-11-04 15:38:56 UTC

No clue, i just end up dming it to them and they tell at me

2019-11-04 15:39:08 UTC

DM and I can post it

2019-11-04 15:39:22 UTC

@Emperor Crap you can’t post images until your new member role is removed.

2019-11-04 15:40:03 UTC

When does that get removed?
