dont run pls, we know we cant beat you

2019-11-12 10:18:22 UTC

People do not just change their team. Most people vote for the same party all of their life, fuck knows why but they do

2019-11-12 10:20:18 UTC

sunk cost fallacy and ignorance

2019-11-12 10:21:14 UTC

@CapitƔn Alatriste wtf i love turks now

2019-11-12 10:21:30 UTC

I mean one thing is for sure I’d never vote labour, Green Party, Lib Dem’s etc but I won’t just blindly vote for tories

2019-11-12 10:21:41 UTC

@brownin probably because personality and values are relatively consistent across your life

2019-11-12 10:21:58 UTC

But party policies change like the wind

2019-11-12 10:22:03 UTC

imo the liberal notion that people can be convinced into believing right ideas is largely flawed

2019-11-12 10:22:18 UTC

what people believe is more influenced by their genetic predisposition, upbringing, and so on

2019-11-12 10:22:25 UTC

you can show the horse water but you cant make it drink

2019-11-12 10:22:25 UTC

partially informed by new information of course

2019-11-12 10:22:57 UTC

I suppose it’s like we’re all told we are right wing but if I look at all my views I’m rather left wing

2019-11-12 10:23:11 UTC

But I don’t give a fuck about most policies and the ones I do are right wing

2019-11-12 10:23:16 UTC

Ergo I’m right wing

2019-11-12 10:24:30 UTC

personally I see myself as centre right in terms of Norwegian politics in the past that had made me a leftist in the US but they have shifted so far that even there I'm right wing now

2019-11-12 10:26:09 UTC

I’ve always voted tories here but mainly because of firstly help to buy scheme for housing and then since to try and get brexit done

2019-11-12 10:26:29 UTC

Also my area didn’t have any other parties worth a vote until recently

2019-11-12 10:26:41 UTC

i try to always vote for minor parties

2019-11-12 10:27:09 UTC

Here I’ve always had like 5 parties and tories is the only one I could possibly vote for

2019-11-12 10:27:22 UTC

i don't feel represented by either boomer cuckservatives or the party of commies, radfems, lesbians and so on

2019-11-12 10:27:58 UTC

Oh once brexit is done then I will look elsewhere but until then I kinda have to bite the bullet

2019-11-12 10:27:59 UTC

I did change my voting party last election, as the one I did use to vote for did change it politics and but a other party did shit more into what I was for

2019-11-12 10:28:43 UTC

People seem to treat parties like their favourite football team

2019-11-12 10:28:54 UTC

As if they will stick by them no matter what, which is dumb

2019-11-12 10:29:32 UTC

ehh

2019-11-12 10:29:44 UTC

parties are like banks and insurance, always shop around

2019-11-12 10:30:01 UTC

This is how it should be

2019-11-12 10:30:17 UTC

But you speak to boomers they voted for the same party for 30+ years

2019-11-12 10:30:49 UTC

i don't see that as surprising really

2019-11-12 10:31:04 UTC

they belive in the old party, the one that "build" the nation bullshit

2019-11-12 10:31:37 UTC

Once boomers are gone then we may have a new party to call the top dog

2019-11-12 10:31:47 UTC

Until then it will only ever be a or b
