@ShyPanther I pray, and it certainly seems to be the case, that God is guiding President Trump. There is a line, however, between praising God for what He is doing trough the flesh of a man and building up a worship of that man. It is the same dilemma facing any church who, seeing God work through their pastor, put him on a pedestal. God will share His glory with no man.
You may actually cause that man to fail by lifting him up.
I Support our President Trump but he is far from perfect and neither was Cyrus

My prayer for my Nation. Oh God, you have in your word, asked me to test you, and you have proven yourself faithful, in my life. Did you know? Man never seeks after God. God seeks after men. Go back to Genesis. When Adam and Eve sinned, they hid from God. God walked through the garden calling, "Adam, Adam, where art thou"? Man, whether they want to think so or not, is always conscious of their sin and therefor of the penalty that must paid. It is God who comes along to tell us He has made a way for us, in spite of our sin. Not that the penalty doesn't need to be paid, but that He, Himself paid that penalty for us. All we have to do is turn away from that sin (repent) be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus (a type of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord) and receive the promise of His Holy Spirit, which will then dwell in us to lead us into all truth.

Just a few thoughts on the above scripture; When satan attacked God in the garden of Eden, causing the fall of man, he may have thought he had gotten the victory. If so, he was wrong. Trying to stamp out the light of God, he caused a great scattering of embers. God has worked over the millennia to gather up every last spark. Jesus said (and I paraphrase) "All that are called will come and I will not lose one of them".
There is, obviously, so much more to the story. Satan tried again when Jesus was put on the cross. I imagine he did quite a victory dance as our Lord was placed in the tomb. What a shock it must have been, when three days later Jesus rose up, showing His victory over death, hell and the grave. To seal the victory He then cast His Holy Spirit upon His children.
As we honor our veterans today, who have given so much to keep us free, we should also honor all the saints who have bled, died, been shunned, excoriated, and faced the wrath of the real enemy of mankind and his minions. They overcame, just as He overcame. The battle rages. Christians are Killed every day. At any given time, someone is facing tribulation and/or death for the cause of Christ.
God answers prayer in the morning.
