I dont play 5d chess like they do... but if it's anything like Sessions recusing from RussiaGate, I'd say it's so no one can say Trumps appointees protected him and they cant say it was a fake/bias investigation
Or political attack against Trumps enemies/Clinton's friends

i would say he doesnt want to deal with it and trump has no skin in the game
