I don't like how he's friends with many politicians
The him being Epstein
Makes me think he's going to get away
Does recall apply to state governors? I can't remember
if a state wants to do that shit, then I don't mind. The feds, however, need to be reeled in. 10th amendment has been ignored for a century or so
longer than thay
*that
century and a half
I mean, I would mind if it was my state
What's your position on children brought into the country illegally?
I haven't really mulled over it a whole lot (it's a current issue so I probably should) but getting separated is shitty so keep the family together until they're deported. parents are responsible for their kids
What about those who are already in the country?
Like in schools and such
They do have to be Constitutional or it gets struck down.
Talking about state laws? Of course, Constitution is Supreme law of the land
US Citizenship is quite clearly determined.
What about those who've been in the country for 10+ but are still considered immigrants?
should've been caught earlier, and are still illegal, correct?
is there a statue of limitations on illegal immigration?
He can declare anything he likes, if it affects National Policy (oh elections let's say), the SC has to rule on it when challenged.
No. You don't magically become a citizen by not getting caught after X years.
Even those brought as children?
There are some immigrants who aren't even considered citizens in the country they were brought from
In a sense it creates an issue
What do you do with a person who has no citizenship status anywhere?
where were they born?
In another country
and they didn't get citizenship there?
They did but because they were only there for a few months, and haven't been back and have been in the US the rest of their life, the country doesn't claim them.
Like some people are born in places, but it doesn't mean they're citizens
true
I don't know. Honestly, I'm for open borders if we take care of some other things first
They automatically get citizenship from the country they are born in, that's usually the case.
Usually. But there's been some cases where citizenship is up in the air because they aren't recognized by their country of origin
And immigration is only going to get worse
India's water crisis is going to cause a humanitarian crisis that will affect 1 billion people
Africa is slow in healing
how many is enough? 10M? 50M? 100M? 1 Billion? Does every poorer person and their family have some human right to just come here and bypass a legal process made to limit it? Of course not, the line must be drawn. I can see discussing setting quota numbers, that is a separate issue.
I'm not saying letting everyone in, hell even just one. But if people think closing the borders is gonna solve anything then they should start feeling dumb
The world is heading towards chaos
