Ssoooooo

2019-04-04 07:43:57 UTC

Ya

2019-04-04 07:44:02 UTC

Bolt actions with iron sights are always nice

2019-04-04 07:44:36 UTC

Ya, well my 338-378 definitely ain't being shot out to 2000 with iron sights😂

2019-04-04 07:45:03 UTC

Also it's got a bigass muzzle break for obvious reasons

2019-04-04 07:45:25 UTC

I've been into long range shooting for awhile now

2019-04-04 07:47:59 UTC

I prefer up to 800 yards. Iron is hard but fun.

2019-04-04 07:49:13 UTC

Used a mosin and it barely had the power to ring the gong

2019-04-04 07:58:20 UTC

800 is about all your gonna get away with, with a .308 or 30-06

2019-04-04 07:59:05 UTC

It's a different story when you enter the realm of 7.82 Lazzeroni warbird, 30-378, 338-378, and 338 Lapua

2019-04-04 07:59:46 UTC

And with a $2,000 scope...preferably Ziess, Sig Sauer, Swarovski, or Night Force

2019-04-04 08:00:02 UTC

+1600 yards becomes pretty doable

2019-04-04 08:02:01 UTC

...I mean if I only have a .308 with a $500 Vortex with turrets, 800 would be my limit

2019-04-04 08:02:36 UTC

It goes subsonic around 800, so it's useless past that

2019-04-04 08:03:24 UTC

The 338-378 doesnt go subsonic till, around like +2,500 yards

2019-04-04 08:03:25 UTC

@TwinVickers Nigga, what are you talking about?

2019-04-04 08:03:36 UTC

It was completely replaced by the M16.

2019-04-04 08:04:17 UTC

Because we found out almost right after we adopted the M14 that "Holy shit, this thing actually really sucks".

2019-04-04 08:04:47 UTC

They purposefully sabotaged the M16😂

2019-04-04 08:05:50 UTC

Imagine how many boys we lost cause the salty government wanted to keep the M14, and not provide proper cleaning kits for M16...Giving it unfair bad rep

2019-04-04 08:06:37 UTC

You heard about that, right?

2019-04-04 08:07:27 UTC

I have.

2019-04-04 08:08:08 UTC

Ordnance did everything it could to prevent the

2019-04-04 08:08:13 UTC

M16 from being adopted.

2019-04-04 08:09:03 UTC

Alot of men died because of that bs...We shouldve had everyone involved executed for treason

2019-04-04 08:10:07 UTC

The M14 is the shortest lived service rifle in U.S history, we immediately shelved them as soon as we formally adopted the M16.

2019-04-04 08:10:34 UTC

I do prefer 7.62 Nato/.308 over 5.56/.223

2019-04-04 08:10:44 UTC

But as a rifle the M16 was superior

2019-04-04 08:11:15 UTC

We only pulled them back out again, because we found in out during Desert Storm that there was a niche for a semi auto .30 caliber rifle for squad level marksman.

2019-04-04 08:11:28 UTC

And even in that role, they were shit.

2019-04-04 08:11:33 UTC

I wish we had a middle ground like the .280 British...doesnt recoil like the 308 but provides alot more energy than 5.56

2019-04-04 08:11:49 UTC

I honestly think 5.56 is fine.

2019-04-04 08:12:01 UTC

AR-10 shouldve been adopted at squad level

2019-04-04 08:12:24 UTC

You know like how in ww2, youd have a squad BAR and the rest would have a Garand

2019-04-04 08:12:29 UTC

I'd rather have a lighter recoiling projectile with a higher velocity behind it.

2019-04-04 08:13:19 UTC

It's just weak AF past 300 yards

2019-04-04 08:13:23 UTC

No energy left

2019-04-04 08:13:32 UTC

By 500 its useless

2019-04-04 08:13:56 UTC

I'd rather have a lower velocity round with a better Ballistic Coefficient

2019-04-04 08:14:06 UTC

Like 6.5 grendel
