Nah it's EU4, and I was as surprised as you were. But the thing is that the English had gotten themselves fucked against a grand alliance of Castile (+Aragon and Naples), France, Scotland and Britany and the remaining Irish Kingdoms. So the Spanish and French Navy combined pretty much did it for them

Unfortunately I was dragged into the war since I had forgotten do break the English alliance, since they were no longer of any use to me...

So I simply sat in my lands doing nothing to help the English and promptly broke the alliance after the war
