what you could do is try to free nations inside of the russians slowly, and then vore them.

Just put 1k troops on the colony and it should be enough to put down the natives

On my last swedish run I took Scandinavia, every part of russia, most of central asia, up to northern india. I conquered the baltics, killed of the polacks. Destroyed the HRE. Took England. And colonized Canada, Mexico, West Africa, And south africa.
