The issue is that UKIP originally could go far as they were seen as a single issue party. But once they branched out, Farage abandoned ship and created another single issue party.
you have to branch out as a party or you will die off in the long run.
one of the biggest party's in norway did start as a single issue anti tax party but when they did change leader they did start branch out and now they are the third biggest party.
