I don't think of Neil as BBC

he's OLD SCHOOL

2019-05-09 19:39:59 UTC

Yeah I get ya, makes sense really. I like him, he’s proper definition of a liberal

2019-05-09 19:40:19 UTC

Classical liberal, none of this neo liberalism shite

but Bristol. Now Bristol is abit different 😄

Bristol has AntiFa

<:ohsargon:451135765368274954>

2019-05-09 19:42:18 UTC

Great, the local antifa faction 😂

2019-05-09 19:44:59 UTC

The school I’m at / leaving after last exam / already left ? Is probably the most progressive school in Scotland, took it upon myself to fight back against the system a few weeks ago to give a reality check

2019-05-09 19:45:56 UTC

Went okay, apart from the handful of teachers, and the head teacher using typical smear labels about the issues

2019-05-09 19:46:30 UTC

you won't have any luck finding a based university i'm afraid

2019-05-09 19:46:38 UTC

you'll literally have to just be careful what you say to everyone

2019-05-09 19:46:47 UTC

I don’t think I’m gonna go to uni tbf

2019-05-09 19:46:49 UTC

k

2019-05-09 19:47:36 UTC

Cos the field I’m looking st seems impossible for me to get in, but I recognise that I’ve got to be part of the fightback

2019-05-09 19:48:17 UTC

what field?

2019-05-09 19:48:20 UTC

As it stands I’m going to do 1 year of a college course then either go to uni or get an apprenticeship..... at the options there I’ve been left with a near impossible option

2019-05-09 19:48:23 UTC

Journalism

2019-05-09 19:48:30 UTC

ooh, no go for it

2019-05-09 19:48:35 UTC

but keep your true power level secret

2019-05-09 19:48:39 UTC

i mean, look at spiked magazine

2019-05-09 19:48:41 UTC

they're pretty based

2019-05-09 19:49:51 UTC

I’m weighing up what apprenticeships are available as I know how toxic university campuses are as I realised even in my school I’d been tuned to thinking a certain way before I learned about political theory back in October and the blindfolds came off

2019-05-09 19:50:21 UTC

it's not like tortue, you just have to get used to having lots of peers who are completely brainwashed

2019-05-09 19:50:30 UTC

but you'll find other based people too

2019-05-09 19:51:15 UTC

Apprenticeships unfortunately open up for the bbc and stv often... doubt I’d get in bbc although it’d be a good thing to say oh look I’ve done an apprenticeship with the bbc ... it’s dripping in bias

2019-05-09 19:52:08 UTC

I’d try not to inject my own biases as 1 that’d get me sacked and 2 if it’s objective then I must remain impartial

2019-05-09 19:52:24 UTC

hmmm

2019-05-09 19:52:33 UTC

nah, bbc is pretty well respected

2019-05-09 19:52:51 UTC

in the industry

2019-05-09 19:53:50 UTC

Yeah that’s part of the thinking, if I’d be able to keep my own mouth shut on my own opinions and went for a bbc apprenticeship then I’d be able to go anywhere really and say oh look at where I’ve done the apprenticeship

2019-05-09 19:54:03 UTC

It’s like universal, everyone knows the bbc

2019-05-09 20:03:28 UTC

LOL, a UKIP candidate was on LBC and was asked about Sargon...
...he refused to discuss him on the grounds there's an active police inquiry

2019-05-09 20:03:34 UTC
2019-05-09 20:05:11 UTC

a clutch of token arrests to pretend they're trying to tackle the problem

2019-05-09 20:07:28 UTC

Idk how I feel about that

2019-05-09 20:07:38 UTC

Tories aren't even bothering with a manifesto... but based on their recent track record, nobody would believe a single thing they would put in it anyway.

2019-05-09 20:10:02 UTC

3 good takes

Change UK are doing horrendous
Tories vote is proper low
Brexit party still ahead

3 not so good takes

Labour are still in a somewhat strong position
UKIP is still very low
Lib Dem’s are gaining (although probably at change uks expense Lol)

2019-05-09 20:12:12 UTC

If it's a good result for the establishment, it's a vote of confidence in democracy... but if it's a good result for Brexit support, the vote is suddenly meaningless anyway because it's the EU and not Parliament.

2019-05-09 20:16:09 UTC

Yeah pretty much that’s the framing
