Well, now we're getting into the weeds about Christian denominations
sure, quakers seem to handle everything better imo. catholics probably worst due to the whole confessional set up
oof
Quakers are the reason we have Progressivism
So, no
I'd argue the opposite
But that's a discussion for another time
perhaps, i've been babtized lutheran but been relatively agnostic the last 30 years or so
i know nothing of quakers except what has been portrayed in tv and to me it really seemed appealing. other denominations seem to take everything way too seriously where as quakers just meditate during their 'sermons'
@TwinVickers Check this book out.
It talks about the "Quaker question" as I put it
https://www.unqualified-reservations.org/2008/04/open-letter-to-open-minded-progressives/
I'm not suggesting there's an elaborate conspiracy by Quakers or anything
But their ideological foundations have had a huge impact in American history, and the roots of Progressivism and international interventionism can be traced to it quite easily
fair enough, i haven't really delved that deep into it. to me it seems that the message in the new testament has been perverted into something very different. it seems christians are very eager to judge their fellow man rather than try to understand and love
Fair enough, I guess
Maybe a little bit of column A and B
i'm not talking about newboro babtist either, just the general feel when i read what religious people write online. then again it is online and you really have to take everything with a grain of salt you reed online. especially social media.
reed, i'm typing phonetically it seems
Westboro lol
Yeah, I just found out that some Christians don't take a literal view of the Bible, in the past 2 years.
I went 24 years thinking a majority of Christians were like Evangelicals and Young Earth Creationists
i'm really not that well versed in christian denominations. i have a basic understanding what makes a catholic person different from a mormon or a protestant
There are tons of Denominations and sub-denominations...and yea, the overwhelming majority don't take the bible litterally
Atheism is also an ancient thing. It's not "only 100-200 years that atheism has even been a thing."
Stop lying.
Now it has raised in the general population dramatically during the last 100-200 years.
That is a point that you can make honestly.
Ever since anyone ever said, "God did it," there has always been someone to say, "bullshit".
@Grodd You are correct.
The other guy should read up on some Greek philosophers
you are one rude fuck grodd, you need to stop calling people liars
also you might consider the context before talking shit
Context is for goyim plebs
i don't know what that means
@Grodd did psychology exist in ancient greece?
Yes
well scientologists say it's older than the human race. i'm under the impression that it's only few hundred years old science
but even if i'm wrong, that's a long way from fucking lying
The only real advances we've made as a species in the past few thousand years are industrial and clinical
i'd argue science isn't a genetic advance
<:thronk:441701565607444482>
I didn't say it was
well you mentioned species
Yeah, the human race. As a whole, over time as being homo sapiens
