the EU would have never agreed to a deal beforehand unless they were sure it would encourage people to vote remain

2019-04-27 16:57:35 UTC

it wouldn't help

2019-04-27 16:57:42 UTC

instead they had a referendum and surprise surprise leave won, and no one planned for that, so now they're frantically trying to arrange *something*

2019-04-27 16:57:48 UTC

and obviously that something is going to be shit

2019-04-27 16:57:52 UTC

which it is

2019-04-27 16:57:59 UTC

and now oh god oh fuck we need an extension

2019-04-27 16:58:04 UTC

They wanted to leave the EU and they won the referendum. Yet the ruling class clearly doesn't care. That's all that matters.

2019-04-27 16:58:21 UTC

i'm just saying some kind of plan from the leave side would have been nice

2019-04-27 16:58:28 UTC

The referendum was very black and white

2019-04-27 16:58:33 UTC

Leave or Stay

2019-04-27 16:58:52 UTC

They should have decided on hard brexit from that start, that was the only sensible option because only hard brexit is within the power of our government everything else relies on the EU playing ball.

See vote, declare that we will hard brexit in 3 years and spend all 3 negotiating for what will happen on that day when it comes.

2019-04-27 16:58:58 UTC

I'm not denying that but what's the point

2019-04-27 16:58:58 UTC

thats what i think should have happened

2019-04-27 16:59:12 UTC

If they can't even leave in the first place

2019-04-27 16:59:50 UTC

well in theory membership of the EU is voluntary, no one has tried to leave before

2019-04-27 17:00:13 UTC

you'd think and hope leaving was possible

2019-04-27 17:01:28 UTC

Yes, hard brexit was the only way.

2019-04-27 17:01:53 UTC

Yes in THEORY it's voluntary. Clearly we see that's not true.

2019-04-27 17:02:50 UTC

I'll tell you what I think they've been getting at. They want to mimic the success of the USA. They think it can be done by joining all of Europe together. That's impossible though, and will not succeed.

2019-04-27 17:03:08 UTC

The EU and the ruling class of UK was hoping that they was able to do like in France and ignore the referendum until it was forgotten and then annul ut

2019-04-27 17:03:10 UTC

The USA was a very unique situation. It was only possible as a frontier experiment.

2019-04-27 17:03:17 UTC

I find it hilarious when euros think their countries can be states

2019-04-27 17:03:24 UTC

@Grodd You get it

2019-04-27 17:03:31 UTC

Oh I get it.

2019-04-27 17:03:43 UTC

That frontier is the most important part of the US

2019-04-27 17:03:52 UTC

Yep.

2019-04-27 17:04:05 UTC

The europhiles here don't understand that

2019-04-27 17:04:34 UTC

ah but thats the genius you see once they initiate a race war with uncontrolled immigration the anarchic situation will mimic the frontier <:makes_you_think:382980749780844554>

2019-04-27 17:04:54 UTC

What is "le frontier"

2019-04-27 17:04:56 UTC

The frontier was more like AnCapistan lol

2019-04-27 17:05:06 UTC

the wild west

2019-04-27 17:05:38 UTC

The frontier mentality lasted all the way up until thr 1950s, in Alaska at least

2019-04-27 17:10:52 UTC

We did all see the buzz feed hit piece on Carl right?

2019-04-27 17:11:16 UTC

New one?

2019-04-27 17:13:10 UTC

no i didn't bother was it about anything new?

2019-04-27 17:13:16 UTC

or same old same old?

2019-04-27 17:13:50 UTC

The frontier went all the way from the original 13 colonies to the west coast.

2019-04-27 17:14:06 UTC

All of the USA was the frontier at certain points in time.

2019-04-27 17:28:16 UTC

It was the same old

2019-04-27 17:28:38 UTC

The thing that got me though

2019-04-27 17:28:55 UTC

It's like they are literally defending Nazis
