Was surprisingly more difficult than I thought. Dragging the app did not have a delete option like every other app on my phone. I suspect it is still installed collecting my data. But at least I am not subject to their controlled feed.
facebook is "integrated" into android, well, they pay phone manufacturers money to embed their software on to the phones. you can get rid of it with an app freezer.
