@Nobel Suprise AA12 fires at fully automatic rates, that would make it akin to a submachine gun or assault rifle. Maybe a light machine gun. It doesn't use a supporting stand or dedicated emplacement so it is neither a medium machine gun nor a heavy machine gun. What it fires isn't really the qualifier.
I'm also fairly certain that the AA12 has a semiautomatic fire mode.
Why can't it just be identified as a select fire shotgun?
