They won't achieve the ubiquity of it on the level of the west
That depends on how many fucks they give in regards to africa
@woll3 The belt and road initiative is actually a technique to slowly offload and distribute their debt load to try and dodge a large recession or depression
Remember: what happens during a recession?
Unemployment.
And who was it that put the current regime in power decades ago?
A huge group of unemployed people.

Indeed. Too low of a kill count for it to be white.

Sucks
Terrible news
So.... Completely average
That Spanish bastard lied to me
Never trust anyone that speaks Spanish
I didn't lie to you. I told you the intensity and size was higher. You can have less fires, yet have them cover a larger area
The actual important figures are the amount of hectares/acres burnt, not the amount of fires.
Show us these statistics please
I'm currently on it
OK, from what I could gather, indeed this year has seen more land burnt than others years before. As I said, the amount of fires may be less, but the area burnt is the important part.
Previous intense fires were the 2015-2016 fires during the "El Niño" dry season which burnt approximately 1 million hectares of forest. roughly 400,000 in 2015 and 500.000 in 2016
In the 2010 fires around 500,000 hectares of forest was lost to the fires
This year so far depending on the sources the area burnt by the fire ranges from 1 to 1.8 million hectares burnt.
