Spread information, get into activism, get into politics(not online), etc
Bring up the topic in conversations, make sure everyone is aware of it.

yeah it's weakness in English. Asian means a very wide group of people
They aren't doing it because of those reasons though, they are intentionally using this word to deceive people and give people a different image in their mind when they read or listen to a news story
