I think the gun debate ultimately comes down to the question of what is more important, freedom or human lives. But funnily enough, that argument only comes up around guns. No one is saying we should give up the freedom of fast transportation by getting rid of cars, even though that would save lives. Or if you've ever seen those stickers on the sides of buckets that warn of the possibility that a baby can drown in it. If it can save the life of one person, why not ban buckets? Do people value buckets more than babies? Next time you see someone using a bucket, tell them that they don't care about dead kids.
