Because the way they design the laws is that if you stored your firearms correctly
that's fuckin unreal
you wouldn't have time to get them out
so if you got it out in time
it says you didn't store it legally
It has to be stored with the bolt removed from the firearm with the firearm in one safe and the bolt in a separate second safe with the ammunition in that safe separate from the firearm too.
I forgot where it was, but a burglar successfully sued a person because they fell on a knife while breaking into their kitchen. we live in a sad world
so you're allowed to own a gun but only in this disassembled fashion, which completely defeats the purpose of owning a gun to protect your family...
Well
Owning a gun to protect your family is illegal there
it's not considered a "valid reason" to own a license
then what the fuck are you allowed to use it for
you're not allowed to protect your family
Hunting or sports shooting
just suck it up
You have to attend a registered shooting club a specific amount of times per year to retain the license
and if you say you are hunting
you need written consent from someone who owns over a certain amount of land
and they will go interview this person
and they do random checks at your home to see if it is stored correctly each year
lol
the bureaucracy is suffocating just to hear about
thank god i live in the chosen land of southern california
Paper in Australia in the 90's after the law change
good lord
that's unsettling.
Hinting jail rape if you disobey the law
note the ridiculous consequences for failing to fill things out correctly
that's a bit of a stretch, bud
Who cares about him
Also the police phone call during that is really odd.
You can hear the sound of a rifle shooting in the house he is in, but apparently he was alone
while he is on the phone to police
who are far away
out of the loop, who is this
The guy who was the reason for the law change in Australia
