Not really. It's how multiculturalism works. The Soviets tried to stamp out minority nations by flooding them with Russians, i.e. demographic replacement. The Russians are proud of their identity and dismissive of the natives. When the Soviet Union collapsed and they were no longer privileged citizens, they opted to stay because the minority nations were more prosperous than Russia and its chaos, but they still long for the days of the Soviet Union and pray for Russia to roll their tanks back into Tallinn and Riga.
