I think the worst accent, in my experience as a receptionist to work with is:
mumbling arabic woman who's already frustrated that none of the signs in canada are in arabic: the accent
bonus points if she's with her four kids who evidently dhsould know english but don't for some fucking reason
There was this girl who sounded like she had an irish accent, but he was able to tell her the small island she was from that I think was off of canada or somewhere else that is a group of people who have that kind of accent that sounds irish, but he was able to hear other inflections within it. Apparently he'd also traveled the world too for his study to help recognize different languages.

I don't wanna dox my ass but I work in a pretty big sports complex
and within the complex is a YMCA
but they're seperate companies and we have shit signage
so we get people every fucking week looking to sign up to the Y but don't know where to go and I have to try and walk em through it
about a third of the time they pretend they understand, get lost and come back
but the place is basically a straight line?

I get that new langauges are hard after a certain age, I really do, but for fuck's sake...
When I was driving out west on my way out I passed through a town called Wawa I seen a sign that said 20 km and in 20 km I saw a sign that said in 20 km and then 20km later I saw a sign that said in 20 km and then in 1 km I was in the town. Sometimes in Canada I feel like they just need to sign that says haha get fucked

Yep 4 signs all claiming to be 20km outside the town one after the other.
Found out later the reason is cuz the town keeps getting wiped out by floods so they keep moving it 20 km over but they never removed the signs
It's the town with the like 18 foot tall wooden Goose last flood that hit it floated away

I figured out the guy I was talking about just before was Thinking Ape
He used to do the pin point exactly where someone was from to the city or region specifically, no matter where they were from in the world, as soon as a brand new person would join voice chat and talk

Not really, he didn't have to put any effort into it. He just listened to someone's voice and was able to within a couple seconds think about where they are from, fair enough if it was something like a new york accent or a welsh accent or something that is more known, but he was able to do it with little known accents
