Courts are suprisingly good at getting justice. At least here in America.
Will if they don't have a fair trial you wont either @Over.9000.Pepes
i dont do twitter either but
it was mentioned so i went looking
and end up on twitter
the jury was selected so there was no chance of jury tampering unless they intentionally went looking for stuff on the case
i gues they dont practice jury cloistering in uk?
if not they are fucking retarded
it is costly but
better than arresting ppl fo reporting on the case
We never have a jury here :3
XD
Where are you baraban?
thats not justice
Israel
bench trial only?
that sucks
sometimes xD
depending on the case
We judges
Bench trials have their advantages but trial by jury should be given as well.
rather be tried by my peers then by a judge with their own motivations
this made me wonder
Most judges are fair and balanced people. And they know the law well.
To be fair the jury is probably less familier with the law
is there such a thing as venue change in the uk?
They are trained in not being manipulated
Juries can be a weakpoint
judges are looking to the future, what job next, maybe a politician
ya but i would judge the two choices based on the knowledge the jury has and the judge has
Not always
certain amount of convictions in one type of criminal act make you look tough on that good for campaign
And judges *hate* other judges who weild power unjustly.
The legal system is very rigorous
At least in the US
legal system is fucked
I'll admit it has flaws. But it's good way more often than it's bad.
I think the main the problem with most legal systems in the west (especially the US) is that it's too dependent on money
The one with more money win isn't justice
That rarely happens tbh
