for something like soldiery you have to have 1 uniform standard for all your soldiers, because in a feminist world it should not be about the gender, but the ability. Which is hilariously backwards compared to how modern feminism operates against meritocracy.

this takes me bak to wrestling in highschool

2018-07-05 04:29:39 UTC

well the fringe movement

2018-07-05 04:30:04 UTC

holding women to a higher standard in a physical role is the flipside of holding men to a higher standard in an emotional role

2018-07-05 04:30:07 UTC

honestly only first and second wave of femninism are needed

2018-07-05 04:30:13 UTC

why must there be one uniform standard for soldiers though?

2018-07-05 04:30:19 UTC

Just playing devil's advocate here

2018-07-05 04:30:23 UTC

2018-07-05 04:30:47 UTC

u need to know who is enemy

2018-07-05 04:30:48 UTC

feminism is regressive in western society and it sits in a cushy position of authority so it has no reason to attack actual oppressive practices in non-western countries

2018-07-05 04:30:56 UTC

they wont

2018-07-05 04:31:01 UTC

it takes to much energy

2018-07-05 04:31:18 UTC

and plus they actually know jack sh1t about the injustices in there

2018-07-05 04:31:39 UTC

they may talk about intersectionality but

2018-07-05 04:31:48 UTC

they wont get any experience in it

2018-07-05 04:32:01 UTC

well, if you think of how soldiers are trained and deployed, they are supposed to be a unit. If your unit is 4 men of equal physical status and you are up against 4 people or random physical status, the unit of 4 proven physical equals should be the superior unit.

2018-07-05 04:32:40 UTC

jobs that are lethal should be held to the highest reasonable standard to ensure the ability of those who want to do it

2018-07-05 04:32:47 UTC

im more optimistic

2018-07-05 04:32:48 UTC

should be, but not necessarily is so

2018-07-05 04:32:51 UTC

but on initial analysis i agree

2018-07-05 04:33:50 UTC

uniformity in military is always preferable for different reasons, morale, use, ability, etc

Here's another analogy that comes to mind: In Afghanistan, the best trained, most well-equipped military in the world (the US) went up against a band of illiterate goat-herders with old AK-47s from the Soviet Union. Certainly not equals in many respects, yet the Afghanis fared extremely well, not because of their physical prowess

2018-07-05 04:34:27 UTC

specialization of military can only occur and operate if their is a base layer of uniformity to rely upon

2018-07-05 04:34:28 UTC

The privilege doens't end at PT standards either. They can usually get away with doing less work in various 'shops' in the Air Force, where i was. If it's too physically demanding, it's easier to just stick them at a desk instead of actually working

2018-07-05 04:35:11 UTC

technique can always give you a leg up against an opponant

2018-07-05 04:35:14 UTC

the guidelines of warfare u follow

2018-07-05 04:35:47 UTC

It therefore may not necessarily be a disadvantage to have women in combat. It's not their physical prowess that matters, but how they are applied, tactically, in the battlefield

2018-07-05 04:35:57 UTC

you could watch a UFC event and see the effects of technique versus physical power and how sometimes just technique can help you overcome an opponent

2018-07-05 04:36:13 UTC

speed over power
