we dont understand why genes turn on and off
we understand what causes them too
but not the mechanical chemistry
on how the molecules move what molecules are involved
what interacts with what
when we turn on genes in animal or plant embryos
others turn on and off
we dont know how to deal with that
and some genes we cant even turn on or off because we dont know how
