This is probably because the Asian countries actually teach their children *outside* of school

Hell, traditional school is pretty much useless now, IMO

I went to a charter school 4 days a week

but my wifes private high school was doing college level work by year 2 or 3

also a lot of asian nations start a little later. And dont use schools as defacto day care.

And they have 3 year middle and 3 year high

but at the same time if they dont get into a high they can also go to work

Ouf. I remember our autocad lab had chipped up 386 compaqs.

These things had this awful riser card and an aluminum crossbar that made it impossible to get anything done inside the case.

I don't remember much of what we played. Cannon Fodder comes to mind.
