So they keep buying newer ones without regard to the older ones.
We don't worry too much about that, but we do worry a lot about having equipment that is in any way less capable than whoever we're fighting.
I suppose there's something to be said about needing to maintain things in top shape in order to compete ideally.
It's not like our opponents are going to just stand there and let us switch to something better.
I guess AOC was right about at least one thing. 🤣
It's ingrained in public perception and military identity since the Korean and Vietnam wars where there were equipment issues, Tanks/antitank weapons and M16s, respectively.
I don't follow, Nero.
She basically said, we spend too much on military.
Nah.
I'm scared now, if she can get one thing right, what other things can she get right?
What's the "right" amount? Do you know?
Can you be sure?
Nope
So she's not right.
Lmao
It's just an opinion that has no bearing on reality.
Alright, fair point
What would help is to say WHAT is wrong with the amount spent.
Every leftist thinks we spend too much on the military
But 600 billion is definitely too much.
But like I say, I don't think we spend "too much" but there's a possibility we might be able to spend it smarter.
How do you know, Nero?
Is that just your gut feeling?
You're talking out of your ass.
600 billion is enough money to sustain Africa's shit hole country for more than a decade.
*countries
Who cares about Africa?
Ok Nero we're going to play a game.
Now wait until I say "go".
The rules:
Nahh, I'm just being hypothetical.
Don't take me seriously.
We each bet an amount of money to our army. The bigger number wins. It goes from $1 to $1000.
GO
1000
I'm looking for a polite way to tell you, you're coming off as condescending.
I'm looking for a rude way to tell you you don't know shit.
Now bet or die.
If you think you know better than me, just let me know your opinion, bro.
I've already explained it, and I'm explaining it again.
