Oof, that sucks

2019-04-20 15:08:46 UTC

"mUh BaSiC eCoNoMiCs" idk i'm pretty sure every first world country has a minimum wage law, it's not vital to remove them

2019-04-20 15:09:15 UTC

what I'm trying to explain to you, is thst you keep voting in your own freaking problems

2019-04-20 15:09:39 UTC

i think actually the retarded working conditions developing are from importing millions of low skill workers

2019-04-20 15:10:03 UTC

and the decimation of western manufacturing

2019-04-20 15:10:33 UTC

if your business can't survive without employing people reliably, then your business deserves to fail

2019-04-20 15:10:40 UTC

Do I need to draw up supply and demand curves, and give an introductory econ101 course on how markets determine the value of goods?

2019-04-20 15:10:55 UTC

Yes

2019-04-20 15:10:56 UTC

It sure seems like it

2019-04-20 15:11:27 UTC

@Fitzydog the Place where I worked when I was still in HS told me they would've hired me as help programmer to help while I'm studying at uni, but they can't because with all the new hiring regulation they would either have to employ me illegally without telling the state or pay a fuckton for just a tiny bit of labour

2019-04-20 15:11:47 UTC

Took so long to type you guys probably changed subject in the meanwhile

2019-04-20 15:12:26 UTC

Here's a real HOT TAKE that y'all can't seem to grasp:

Labor is a product that conforms to supply and demand laws.

<:high_iq:382980759012638731>

2019-04-20 15:12:33 UTC

And with `pay a fuckton` I mean for the hiring contract, not even in taxes for the wage

2019-04-20 15:12:51 UTC

Yes they cant fire some one in the same whay and therefore dont get more employees

2019-04-20 15:13:16 UTC

Now, does everyone remember what happens when an artificial price floor is introduced into the market?

2019-04-20 15:13:46 UTC

labour can be exploited though?

2019-04-20 15:13:53 UTC

Yes

2019-04-20 15:13:56 UTC

No

2019-04-20 15:14:03 UTC

problem is that people don't control the job markets, companies do.

2019-04-20 15:14:04 UTC

Slavery is illegal

2019-04-20 15:14:07 UTC

Yes to manifest

2019-04-20 15:14:25 UTC

If you're being paid, it's not exploitation

2019-04-20 15:14:29 UTC

`labour can be exploited though?`
i would argue that labour can be exploited at any pay rate though

2019-04-20 15:14:30 UTC

End communism

2019-04-20 15:14:51 UTC

getting paid next to nothing for work is equivalent to slavery. that's the whole point of the minimum wage

2019-04-20 15:15:00 UTC

No

2019-04-20 15:15:23 UTC

lotsa greys recently

2019-04-20 15:15:26 UTC

Alright, for the slow kid in here that didn't grasp my statement the first time:

LABOR IS A PRODUCT THAT IS BOUGHT AND SOLD LIKE ANY OTHER THING

2019-04-20 15:15:33 UTC

Its when to many people look for The same usless jobb

2019-04-20 15:15:35 UTC

@Angus you have no idea <:GWjiangoOmegaLUL:389904150886088723>

2019-04-20 15:16:12 UTC

Could you imagine if the govt mandated that you sell your used car for a minimum price??

2019-04-20 15:16:23 UTC

👀

2019-04-20 15:16:29 UTC

I actually can

2019-04-20 15:16:34 UTC

labour is not a luxury.
