sadly I think that happens. I do know the biggest union and the labour party here have unhealthy close relationship that I'm personally is not a fan of and they have donated to help politicians campaigns in the past

yeah. I think one of our biggest unions give money (because I know they endorce, they are open with that) to the Social Democrats.
