I'm not a fan of Brexit but motherfuckers voted for it and no politician, not in ๐ฌ๐ง and not in ๐ช๐บ, should be able to stop it or delay it in any way.
People can only change their country through 2 different methods:
ยท Voting
ยท Shooting
If you actively ignore the 1st one, people should be 100% alright with the 2nd one.
theres a big difference between allowing gay marriage and actual concentration camps because of your religion
It's not religion, I'm a fucking atheist, you moron.
what was that thing you said to me before
You're literally fine with politicians ignoring what people vote for.
You don't like democracy, you're fine with politicians ignoring votes.
yes I'm fine with politicans making gay marriage legal and not viewing it as the same thing as china's totalitarianism
๐น๐ผ organized a fair legal referendum on gay marriage and there was a clear result, a "NO" to it.
WTF are you even doing here when you don't believe in the will of the people?
I just don't understand how you can view taiwan making gay marriage legal as the same thing as china putting muslims in concentration camps
Just like ๐ช๐บ and ๐ฌ๐ง organized a referendum on whether ๐ฌ๐ง should leave the EU and, well, there was a clear result too.
Any country that rejects the outcome of a fair and legal referendum is NOT a democracy. ๐จ๐ณ is not a democracy, ๐น๐ผ and ๐ฌ๐ง aren't either.
๐ฌ๐ง MIGHT become a democracy again IF and only IF Brexit becomes a reality. Any half-step, any 2nd voting, any fucking bullshit they've been trying to push should result on people lining up politicians and shooting them in the head because that's what being an actual enemy of the people is.
Politicians MUST follow the will of the people.
It's not a "should" kind of thing, it's absolutely mandatory, it's their only purpose.
but they dont!
If voting is useless, it's time to start with the shooting thingy.
Just like I accept when people vote for gay marriage even if I don't like it, I feel politicians and just the people should also accept when people vote against it.
again making gay marriage legal despite people saying no =/= china putting muslims into concentration camps along with other human rights violations
I don't understand how you don't get that politicians almost never follow up on what they say
I don't care if ๐จ๐ณ is *worse*. Being a democracy is a mostly-absolute kind of thing. Either you are or you are not.
but its not there is no 100% pure full democracy sure some come close but most aren't close
As long as you don't nullify referendums, have regular elections and all that you should be fine.
I don't need a referendum for every little thing but, whenever there is one, the will of the people is above everything.
That's why I respect Theresa May: she is a fucking Remainer but she has worked as best as she knows to make Brexit happen.
Theresa May believes in democracy.
She wasn't successful and maybe she could've done more... but she worked for something she didn't believe in because people voted for it.
She has tried to do what pussyboy Cameron didn't have the balls to do.
Every single British MP that is pushing for a re-referendum or for Brexit to vanish should be at least put in jail.
@.drib I am for gay marriage but I cannot defend, let alone support forcing it through when it conclusively failed a referendum.
Fuck me, eCUNTden is agreeing with me.
I know what Chinese people have to put up with, this isn't anything like as bad, but it is still indefensible.
One of the keys of democracy is that politicians must serve its people and that includes obeying whatever a proper referendum says.
Imagine a national election, some congressmen lose their seats and then they refuse to leave.
I much prefer the way Americans do it, the constitutional convention, but referendums are way better than the alternative.
Although states can have referendums for certain things. What I like about constitutional amendments is how strong they are.
