Nah. It's kinda rural, but not far from a big city.
Last time we had a bad storm take out power, it was a tropical storm last year (forgot its name already) and my sister had power out for about 16 hours. It was more annoying than anything else. My dad's house got power in about 6.
I'm not too worried about this storm unless another tornado warning says hello
It usually takes day or two to them to restore the grip for our area so though that candles would be good thing to put burning so they provide light and a bit of a heat. Tbh especially 2011 wind storm when I was still quite young the electricity cut was more comfy and nice cause we are lucky enough to have resources for heating food and house and we basically played trivial pursuit and stuff in candle light
I'm sure that my sister keeps candles around. I know my mom keeps kerosene lamps around, and my dad has those bright long-lasting LED lamps.
That's good
The 2011 dagmar day storm actually knocked over one shed in the field, now I know it ain't anything special for some other places but here it was something to remember
@Seatoast how ypu've bee man aside from yesterday I haven't heard from you in a while
How's that basset hound?
@MerricBrady Bassets are amazing and anyone who doesn't like them is to regarded with suspicion.
I just wanted to call you a fag
Too late, you are already on the watch list.
I like bassest hounds though
why would anyone breed basset hounds so low though
dogs from 100 years ago were so much better
Dacshund supremacy
look what they’ve done to pugs
look at how dachshunds were massacred
They're better borrowing and fighting badgers now
It's ok @MerricBrady, it was a joke.
I figured as much
Havent see him since December, making the 12 hour drive home tomm for a week
@MerricBrady I'm good homie thanks for asking, gonna make an effort to stay active here
@Seatoast awesome good to have you back fam
Glad to see a bunch of OGs active. Whiskey been active any?
@Oliver Starley my basset looks like the left one in your pic
I don't know where people find these super droopy ones with like an inch of legs
@Seatoast no shes been on once in like the past months, and stopped coming on shortly around the time you and nu plissken did
@Seatoast good because that’s how they’re supposed to look
I didn't realized it was 4/20 today
I'm going to city tomorrow, was thinking of visiting alko, so should I get
>midori melon liquor
>maraschino liquor
>Cointreau
Or something totally different? Wasn't thinking of getting anything strong this time. Gonna get Angostura bitters most likely too but was thinking of getting some liquor too.
Or perhaps drambuie
Altho I perhaps should wait to get onto ship and pick up bottle from there so I can get 0,7l bottle instead of 0,35l that alko sells
Here we have a Finn, deciding which liquor he should get in tonne quantities to last him through the whole month.
@ebowden fuck you. You know that you can drink with moderation and not all finns are alcoholic drunkards. I'll buy one bottle and if it isn't cream liquor (which becomes bad quite fast cause of the cream) it will last me from 2 months to >1 year
This is my latest photo of my bar cabinet. Taken 20.02.2019, since then I have acquired bottle of absolut vodka into there.
The Ardmore scotch I bought around half time of my service last fall, the hibiki masters select blended Japanese next to it, that I bough in end of last may from Swedish cruise, same of the the cognac next to it and gentleman Jack in the other shelf next to the red book. The pernoid apsinthe, those two rum bottles and black grouse from the left shelf I bought from Estonia in end of June last year, Chivas regal 12 I bough day after my service ended so 21.12.2018. And the tequila on far left I bough on January this year.
So tell me how unsophisticated drunkard I am!
