I don't like his UBI ideas, nor do I like his firearm legislation proposals.

I came to the natural conclusion of UBI when I was about 12 when I had been already programming for a few years

if you know the technology you know there's no other scenario

on his firearm legislation all I've heard him say is basically pampering to the democratic party while still being vocal that the right to bear arms is important

so more like banning specific guns that have a bad rep (which we all know won't make an actual difference) and things like background checks and training which I honestly don't mind because he brings up this point where you need a drivers license to drive a car so it kinda makes sense to make sure people have some basic training before owning a firearm

I've also seen this channel <https://www.youtube.com/user/invisiblepeopletv> and while many of these people are in their situation because of their own choices many of these people have become homeless from losing a job or a relationship where a small UBI would keep their heads above the water

there's real science behind this part as well, when you worry about how you'll pay your next bill you have a mindset of scarcity that gives you something like a 13 point lower functional IQ

honestly you should still watch the news, you just need to ignore all of their opinions and always assume that whatever facts they're presenting they're also omitting equally important facts that would counter their opinions

if you just watch the same network you'll never get the omitted stuff ofc, and sometimes it's literally just _all_ made up but if they show footage of the president talking about it I'm not going to assume it's doctored deepfake (at least not just yet)
