mechanic's apprentice

That's badass, dude! I need rear brake drums for a 1966 Plymouth Fury, you gonna be able to hook a brother up? The store bought stuff doesn't fit.

2019-06-24 09:43:07 UTC

If I see one I'll let you know. Lately we've been getting mostly El Caminos and Corvettes

2019-06-24 09:43:19 UTC

I'm getting kinda sick of seeing El Caminos, lol

2019-06-24 09:43:49 UTC

Although just did an engine swap in a '52 Ford pickup

2019-06-24 09:46:28 UTC

El Caminos/Caballeros are badass. I like em quite a bit. Love the Ford Rancheros, too. As far as 'Vettes are concerned, I figure you'll be getting an assload of those.

2019-06-24 09:46:58 UTC

I call them the mullet of the car world

2019-06-24 09:47:31 UTC

'52 Ford Pickups are nice. I've always wanted to rebuild a straight 8 (like out of a Buick) just for the lulz. The Iroc Zs are the mullets of the car world.

2019-06-24 09:47:59 UTC

We had 3 vettes in the shop last week, a '59, a 61 and a 70's stingray.

2019-06-24 09:48:31 UTC

But no split windows yet?

2019-06-24 09:48:33 UTC

They're kinda opposite mullet, party in the front work in the rear

2019-06-24 09:49:20 UTC

I've never seen a straight 8, that sounds beast!

2019-06-24 09:50:17 UTC

the shop next to us has a split window vette. Thing's full of nova parts or something and runs like crap

2019-06-24 09:51:04 UTC

Straight 8s have the benefits of straight 6s (naturally balanced due to firing order, quieter, e.t.c.) with all the power of an 8 cylinder. Biggest issue is that they take up loads of space.

2019-06-24 09:51:47 UTC

Imagine cobbling together a split window Vette drivetrain from Nova parts. Absolutely disgraceful.

2019-06-24 09:52:37 UTC

there's an inline 6 in the 46 chevy streamline we have in, neat to see but seems underpowered for such a heavy car

2019-06-24 09:54:22 UTC

i gtg back to bed, stupid fireworks woke me up and made my dog get out

2019-06-24 09:54:51 UTC

Still not voicing.

2019-06-24 09:55:18 UTC

My in-line has two 100 mm turbos.

2019-06-24 09:55:40 UTC

Adios, Salazam

2019-06-24 09:55:49 UTC

@DA PROBLEM What do you have?

2019-06-24 09:56:15 UTC

A beta wouldn’t understand.

2019-06-24 09:56:51 UTC

Two 100mm turbos is *a lot* of money. It's gotta be something pretty rad.

2019-06-24 09:57:38 UTC

A man is supposed to be in control of his surroundings, his environment. So a car is merely an extension of your abilities.

2019-06-24 09:57:53 UTC

What do you drive ?

2019-06-24 09:58:53 UTC

I have 3 vehicles.
1.) Dodge Ram 1500 (daily)
2.) Suzuki GS500F
3.) 1966 Plymouth Fury (tastefully upgraded)

2019-06-24 09:59:14 UTC

It’s fast but can stop. It turned and slides but controllably.

2019-06-24 09:59:54 UTC

Fury = Alpha

2019-06-24 10:01:53 UTC

The Fury was my first car. I bought it, cracked the block in the first 30 miles, and rebuilt pretty much the entire thing. From brakes to engine, the only thing I haven't done *anything* to is the rear differential. I need to do some interior work, and get it painted. After that she'll be a show car.

2019-06-24 10:02:07 UTC

What’s up with GS 500. You know they make 1000

2019-06-24 10:02:26 UTC

big up the mogg

2019-06-24 10:02:45 UTC

It was my first bike. I'm thinking my next bike will be a Honda CBR1000RR.

2019-06-24 10:02:54 UTC

bikes are for girls

2019-06-24 10:03:32 UTC

The issue is getting all 6 feet and 3 inches of myself onto a sport bike comfortably.
