I think Captain America will die saving Tony, fixing their falling out after Civil War
and I know the movies are the comics are... hypothetically... independent
but the stories are all derivative of the comics
Marvel has hundreds of different seperate universes
honestly I just want another Doctor Strange movie
A sequel was confirmed
and Black Panther is getting a sequel too
of course, they will be forming the foundations for the new Avengers
because all the old Avengers contracts are up
Mark Ruffalo's isn't
He has one more movie in his contract iirc
Black Widow is also getting a solo movie
I'll be glad once this cross-over event is finally over and the movies can get back to their individual storylines
Don't you like it?
Everyone teaming up to take on a big villain
its disruptive
everyone has to put their storylines on hold in order to work with this grand Avengers plotline
I like infinity war.. it maybe sucks that we don't get new other films while waiting for the conclusion. Can't they keep making other ones ready for release while also doing endgame stuff? I just assumed they were
well they can but its like...
its like all the movies are trains on their own rails, going all over the place, and Endgame is a station they are all forced to visit
but you'll know that Endgame will be apart of all of their paths, because its a giant shared station
so whatever happens in Ant-man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-man
it'll all be coming from a storyline after Endgame
which is limiting
its why all those heroes are 'guaranteed' to survive Endgame, because they all have confirmed movies in the pipeline
even though all but one of them are currently vaporized
Maybe so... They don't all have to reference that movie or be set at the same time though. Dr strange doesn't even need to be in the same reality. GotG can be anywhere
thats true, but a major factor in the selling point of the MCU is the shared reality/timeline
I know a lot of people want to keep the story to the comic Canon, but I really don't think its necessary and they should take new directions that differ more
there are some delightfully fun stuff in the comics that I don't think they'll translate to the movies
in the comics Thanos wants to kill half of all life as a proposal gift to Death, whose is a woman
but Death is actually in love with Deadpool
so Thanos curses Deadpool with immortality out of jealousy, so Death and Deadpool can only ever exchange brief moments before he resurrects
which would have been an absolutely wonderful way to join the MCU and X-Men movie franchises
but it is a lost opportunity
Would also screw his own romance story, I think. Deadpool won't drop his lady friend.
She is like, dead, though
nope
some idiot gave Deadpool a time travel device
didn't you see the scenes with him standing over the crib of baby Hitler?
