we tend to focus on actual issues instead of generalizations

that sounds mean... we focus on clearly defined issues where Men's Rights are obviously being infringed 😛

No thats good. I just see that term in comments and such on the reddit when I'm flipping through, and it seems like a generalization.

anger towards Feminism and its orbit of issues is growing... its bleeding into a lot of places

the subreddit does its best to police itself for hatred but its an increasingly difficult task

not that the term is inherently hateful, just that it seems to be more popular amongst angry people

Yeah. And I mean some people do have a right to be angry when the law or something screws them over. But yeah I get what you mean. Reddit in general is a mixed bag. Sometimes people are chill, other times people brigade or whatever

Anyway, its been nice to break the ice. I should probably get a bit of sleep before I screw up my schedule even more 😁

I am, yeah. Been browsing Men's Rights for a while, saw the post. Figured i'd come and see what people are saying, as I have mixed feelings about a lot of things.

That's no problem, we always welcome questions and people who are curious. :)

So what kinds of stuff do you have mixed feelings about?

Honestly, it's mostly just determining what is real sexism/things that men should fight over, and how much of it is an echo chamber that's not worth worrying about all that much. Similar issues to what feminism complains about, how often are the things brought up actually impacting people?

Personally, I've never not been trusted around kids. I've never been remotely compared to some sort of sexual pest. I've never been accused of something for being white and male. I've had one person use "check your privilege on me", and I shut that down within about 30 seconds, so not really an issue. The closest i've come is by missing a promotion due to the need to keep a certain quota.
