Hello MDS, welcome to the discord
Idk where to put this
Under men's human rights serious is a good place, but the lounge is fine for anything generally
hi, hope it's okay I'm here? I'm female/nonbinary but I'm all for the rights of all humans.
hey @redfailhawk yes, all are welcome
and that story of the falsely accused man is terrifying. its real and it happens, which is why its scary people try and shut down the conversation around it
this is horrifying
and it's terrible that most of those people who do this rarely get punished "because it'll ruin their lives"
it ruined someone else's, and they should pay back twice the sentence for what they did in their lie.
having no conmsequence at all means theres no deterrence
exactly
and that's one of the biggest issues
unfortunately, the way people are going to realize that this is happening will only be when it happens to them or someone they know
is that name Welsh?
Yes
Welcome new people :3
Feel free to look around and ask people any questions you may have about men's rights ^^
Ah yes, it is Welsh! I'm studying the language, but not fluent (yet)
SAME!
started a month ago
cannot for the life of me pronounce secretary
Nice! Yeah, pronunciation is hard, and without any local speakers it's hard to know if I'm doing it right.
what are you using to learn?
Um, I have been using SSiW and kinda Duolingo?
To be honest, I have been neglecting my studies lately.
SSiW is great if you can focus on the lessons, but the lessons are a bit long.
Duolingo is also great, but in my personal (and still undecided) opinion sometimes it can be weird
There are also a few discord servers for learning Welsh, but when I was trying that they seemed kinda dead, focused on other Gaelic languages, or incredibly tight-nit.
I am using Duolingo, have never heard of SSiW
SSiW (Say something in Welsh) is probably the best resource available, I highly recommend it ^-^
Aside from flying over to Wales and getting real life experience, anyway
