My son is now majoring in aeronautical engineering at Purdue. Extremely intelligent.
Never watched that. Got my son into old Twilight Zones. Science channel. Science fiction. Still his favorite genre
ya...tech heads are into scifi big time til they discover how things work..then they become critics of newer scifi
My main thing as a teacher and his mom is question everything! Of course it turns out I didn’t question enough myself
Yeah. We have awesome conversations. For years he’s had to explain things to me.
But I always tell him intelligence is one thing. Wisdom is another. And while he might be more intelligent I am more wise. Because experience. Life.
I love X22. But I’m gonna start downing a shot every time he says the Deep State is panicking! Heehee
@Maga gal i strongly suggest u empty out the liquor store before u do that
my experience with super high IQ people is that they tend to overspecialize
many of them become arrogant and assume because they are good at their specialty they are good at other things, and fail to conceive of someone more capable then themselves
like there's 1 lib in my friend's little bubble who claims to have an IQ of 160
and yet believes in all the stupid disproven shit about trump
more pointedly she thinks trump is an idiot
You are absolutely right. People can be so dangerously smart they’re stupid. Believe me. Me and his step dad have kept him humble and questioning.
which, i'm at 140 and i can see through the bs and recognize a genius
good 🙂
one day he will thank you for it
What I tell my son is God gave him a gift. He can use it for good or evil. The blessing isn’t in the gift. It’s how you decide to use it b
i never bothered to get measured....i see such measurements to be a restricting factor in social environments and for other prospects
it's not
also it's a tactical failure if ur enemy knows how smart u are
they don''t need to, but you may benefit
I’ve kept him grounded. And compassionate. His dad is toxic. So being a good human being is what I’ve always stressed
i am much better of knowing then i am not knowing
i'm still learning things...only a fool claims to know everything, but a wise man still learns
for one thing it became a fuck of a lot harder to exploit any insecurity in my part
people used to tell me i was crazy, and sometimes i wondered if they were right
now i KNOW the problem lies with them
My son had his IQ tested for kindergarten. We wanted to get him into a gifted school. He more than qualified I think 158? Not sure. Couldn’t afford it so didn’t matter.
i just tell them i'm nuts
my point is that the removal of doubt can dratiscally alter your world view
i'll let them discover why i'm nuts so they can be nuts too
He belongs to Mensa. Told me he thinks I could make it. Sweet but probably not! He only used it for college. He’s very grounded.
i got my iq doing the mensa admission test
missed it by 1 point 😛
Wisdom passed down from late 70s music: “If I claim to be a wise man it surely means that I don’t know. “ - Kansas
This song btw I’ve pushed to the Patriot Great Awakening theme song for years. I felt like chick pushing “fetch” in Lean Girls. It’s not gonna happen. Haha
lol
