If you are reading a translation and not some transliteration you should be good, there are a lot of commentaries you can read to find the deeper meaning the translation doesn't do justice to

Take the 5th chapter of Genesis, just an old dusty family tree right ... wrong, when you take the meaning the bible gave to each name and put them in a a sentence its a prophecy concerning Jesus saving the world

Try a Calvary Chapel, they go through the bible vs by vs chapter by chapter precept upon precept

I’ve learned every religion, every church interprets the Bible in the way they see it. Not wrong necessarily. But all religion - all churches - because they are created by man, not God are fallible. Some by intention, some not.
