My argument is definitely not with God. It’s with religion. I’m distracted right now but I will read what you posted. I live a healthy debate and I want to hear more.

2019-08-10 02:16:44 UTC

Good end of night everyone 😉

2019-08-10 02:16:56 UTC

i take issue with that, but i think this particulary topic maybe better left alone

2019-08-10 02:17:00 UTC

morning

2019-08-10 02:17:43 UTC

i will say one more thing though: king james version?

2019-08-10 02:17:53 UTC

@DaveyJones and yes you did!! Haha. But that’s not a bad thing. We can only learn from one another

2019-08-10 02:18:06 UTC

i don't think anyone should take the word of a medieval king for anything whatsoever

2019-08-10 02:18:22 UTC

religious discussions have a way of overheating

2019-08-10 02:19:16 UTC

I love when those who don't study how the Bible came about and what were its origins, voice an opinion on the validity of the Book

2019-08-10 02:19:24 UTC

@Christus Rex goodnight. Sweet dreams

2019-08-10 02:19:47 UTC

not if its just a discusion

2019-08-10 02:20:08 UTC

i love how christians believe the bible to be the word of god, and yet do not see any and all attempts of humans to edit it as an abomination

2019-08-10 02:20:37 UTC

editing a direct translation ?

2019-08-10 02:20:40 UTC

I think we’re having a very civil debate.

2019-08-10 02:21:01 UTC

@S33k3r has been nothing but respectable.

2019-08-10 02:21:05 UTC

why would that be an abomination unles you want to take out or add to it

2019-08-10 02:21:09 UTC

it would make sense to me to want to seek out the oldest, least adulterated version one could find

2019-08-10 02:21:14 UTC

It is a hot topic though.

2019-08-10 02:21:50 UTC

exactly and they exists today in their original form

2019-08-10 02:22:22 UTC

in a language that can be read by 4 people on the planet

2019-08-10 02:23:52 UTC

the reason the NT was in Greek and in Arabic was because of the way that language conveys meaning, english doen't do that

2019-08-10 02:23:55 UTC

You have to know the Bible was written by people hundreds of years later. I honestly don’t have a problem with that. I have a problem that why were certain books left out? How much do we know was altered? We have absolutely no way of knowing. That’s where Gods wisdom inside of us prevails

2019-08-10 02:25:23 UTC

You can write a sentence in greek and tear up the page each word and throw it in a hat and no matter how you arrange that sentence it means the same thing.. at least koinonia greek

2019-08-10 02:25:26 UTC

at the council of nicea entire books were included or omitted based on artbitrary decisions

2019-08-10 02:26:02 UTC

But there have been many interpretations. Bible scholars to this day disagree on translation.

2019-08-10 02:26:03 UTC

Well if you would have read the link I posted you would know why

2019-08-10 02:26:14 UTC

lol i know why

2019-08-10 02:26:26 UTC

the omitted books were too bizarre

2019-08-10 02:26:34 UTC

They didn't have God's signature on them

2019-08-10 02:26:41 UTC

echos of them can be found in stories about giants n stuff like that

2019-08-10 02:26:53 UTC

lol that's a cute way of saying it

2019-08-10 02:27:01 UTC

but translation: because magic

2019-08-10 02:27:12 UTC

echoes of the bible are found all over the planet that doesn't make the book worth less

2019-08-10 02:27:21 UTC

So you believe in giants

2019-08-10 02:27:29 UTC

actually most of those echos precede the bible

2019-08-10 02:27:32 UTC

The Bible does

2019-08-10 02:27:45 UTC

Sorry thats not true

2019-08-10 02:27:47 UTC

only cuz they chose not to exclude that particularstory

2019-08-10 02:27:53 UTC

actually it is

2019-08-10 02:28:37 UTC

For many years that has been disproved

2019-08-10 02:28:42 UTC

many gods throughout history were crucified, born of avirgin etc etc
