He did through 66 books writen over 2000 years by over 40 authors
no he didn't
i mean ill buy that he researched those books n all
but proving god, in my view, is an impossibility
You know even secular scientists believe we only have around 4% of all knowable knowledge in all the universes Just saying God could exists in the 96% you don't know
that's all good en well
but i have an issue with anyone who claims to know what it wants
or even that it wants
we don't have to guess He told us; Love the Lord with all your mind and soul and love your Neighbor as yourself..pretty simple
love with your mind?
surrender all of it?
Even secular Josephus wrote about Jesus and couldn't explain His ressurection
My argument is definitely not with God. It’s with religion. I’m distracted right now but I will read what you posted. I live a healthy debate and I want to hear more.
Good end of night everyone 😉
i take issue with that, but i think this particulary topic maybe better left alone
morning
i will say one more thing though: king james version?
@DaveyJones and yes you did!! Haha. But that’s not a bad thing. We can only learn from one another
i don't think anyone should take the word of a medieval king for anything whatsoever
religious discussions have a way of overheating
I love when those who don't study how the Bible came about and what were its origins, voice an opinion on the validity of the Book
@Christus Rex goodnight. Sweet dreams
not if its just a discusion
i love how christians believe the bible to be the word of god, and yet do not see any and all attempts of humans to edit it as an abomination
editing a direct translation ?
I think we’re having a very civil debate.
why would that be an abomination unles you want to take out or add to it
it would make sense to me to want to seek out the oldest, least adulterated version one could find
It is a hot topic though.
exactly and they exists today in their original form
in a language that can be read by 4 people on the planet
the reason the NT was in Greek and in Arabic was because of the way that language conveys meaning, english doen't do that
You have to know the Bible was written by people hundreds of years later. I honestly don’t have a problem with that. I have a problem that why were certain books left out? How much do we know was altered? We have absolutely no way of knowing. That’s where Gods wisdom inside of us prevails
You can write a sentence in greek and tear up the page each word and throw it in a hat and no matter how you arrange that sentence it means the same thing.. at least koinonia greek
at the council of nicea entire books were included or omitted based on artbitrary decisions
But there have been many interpretations. Bible scholars to this day disagree on translation.
Well if you would have read the link I posted you would know why
lol i know why
the omitted books were too bizarre
They didn't have God's signature on them
