i almost got one from a friend....his mom got it for him..it was in the shape of a fighter and he had no clue it could transform
all other things were secondary
but i did grow up with the cartoon
lol!
i said - oh cool, u got a veritech fighter
he said - ya, my mom got it for me, it's been sitting around on the shelf for yrs
then while we were talking ..i was transforming the fighter into a robo warrior
while he started to ask me wtf i was doing
he was on the verge of going to college
lol
i transformed his toy plane into a robowarrior
i told him - let the nerds see u with this...they will be more friendly to u
lol
he came home around mid terms to hit me up for a burnt cdr of hot babes from my 'collection'
when his first term was over with..he came home with a new gf...to show off to his parents..she also was raised in the city so she had family in the city
i stopped by on my bd to say hi
i said to him and his parents and his new gf
'oh gee, u brought me home a blonde coed for my bd' ...it went over his head, over his parents head and his new gf was laughing
😛
he's not with his college gf anymore...she's working with his mom tho
he's married and moved to another country...france last i heard of him...i think he moved out eventually to another state in usa
u mentioned kitbashing, you a hobbyist?
used to kitbash yes
made my own custom space ships
til i couldn't stand the fumes anymore
check out a slightly customized gundam: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CU4xyfT1fmo
and couldn't afford to buy scrap or whole kits anymore
fumes? glue?
🤣
what, u never worked with plastic cement
i have
it was the only such thing i ever had or used so nothing to compare
try working it in an area with no ventilation
so surprised it is considered a classic
yeah i think it was the first game of it's kind
i even tried melting plastic as an alternative to plastic cement
supply and demand, lotta nostalgia around this game
i had more issues with paint fumes
but now am using water based paints
saves a ton of stink and hassle
