@Deleted User is this scientific study not scientific enough for you?
@Daphene Trump suggested using uv to completely destroy the virus inside the body. That's something someone with no understanding of the human body would say
@RandomDiscordAccount i can pull up studies backing up my claims too, but i choose not too
doubt
ima brb
It's easy to find scientific studies confirming your biases
I am not going to stoop down to that level
@Daphene good luck injecting lysol inside you
he left lol
Damn
Does anyone still believe in noble savage myth?

@WhiteTrashWorkhorse Hello, may we have a partnership? If so, please DM me.

Do you think that the first space colony's ideology will have a impact on our future?
Would world, where first sucessfull settlement was fascist, change it's way where it's heading?
It will definitely have an impact on the colonies future and diaspora from that colony. We expect that if space colonization occurs, it will be people who are already situated on the peripheries of human territory to go out further I assume.
But could it possibly for example reverse current leftist academia?
I was thinking about this today . Would one communist colony produce even more communist colonies or people would be horrified and they would try to create colony with opposite values or they would go full reactionary?
If US wins the space race and the first colonizers will be some diverse international team, wouldn't conservatives become anti-technology people? As a more conservative person, I kinda fear this. In the end we may be seen as anti-progress anti-science group.
idk tbh. I would guess that if space colonization occurred, then economic planning has become centralized to a great deal to micro manage colonization of alien environments. I think the biggest difference would be how they seek to develop society in relation to power structure and wants. Like do they build a net of small separated habitats that provide more autonomy to smaller communities or a large one with higher population density. Would it be democratic, autocratic, etc.?
Capitalism requires millions of people to properly work. Individualistic colony is very very unlikely thing.
I would say that it would be good to send only the best specimen from our country. Intellect, morality and self-control seem like good values for our future colonizers. They will be in demanding struggle against their new world, conflicts between them can destroy the whole project. Imagine a sadistic sociopath between 50 people thousands and thousands kilometers away from the nearest advanced civilized society.
yeah, how i picture it is the colonization may first start with very few and if anything, predominantly made of automated smart machines but it will quickly expand to a few thousand immigrant once the base infrastructure has been established. From there on I assume population increases will be due to reproduction over immigration.
Why should we bring "our sins" into the new world? It's an option to make progress of human species themselves. Space colonizers should be group addapted to their home, not just people who paid for residence in space. It would be good to carefully select between immigrants.
There's definitely going to be a founders effect and i think the immigration process will have a selection bias for higher performing members of society. However, we could only really artificially select who goes if we have a state or private entity that sponsors the mission which actively selects for or against specific traits and holds somewhat of an exclusive monopoly on travel to said colony.
Is Gregory Cochran right or is it going too far?
@Deleted User the hell is this?
