But usually I'm an enemies to lovers kinda gal and those aren't good unless they're a slow burn
Ooo yesss
Those are awesome
what constitutes a complete story
An ending
as in, at what point is a novel/novella done
Depends
at what point am I done editing it
When it feels right is usually when im done
Then again I reread and then delete 30 pages of work bc it doesn’t flow right <:KEK:795742276549607456>
With other things I make, it's whenever there's nothing else to take away
but idk if that applies to writing
Honestly I’d let someone beta read it and see what they say, give it one last run thru and then you’re good
good for publishing?
when you feel like it's done
idk how to explain it, but like you feel a satisfaction putting an end it if that makes sense
What kinda publishing we talking, online or actual paper book publishing lol
I just got myself a beta reader lol. I was always too nervous about showing ppl my stuff but now I have a boyfriend and he's looking over it for me
Aww that’s great
Ideally, I'd like to see it as an actual book
but I can start with online publishing and see
Then I’d say get a beta reader, let em run thru it, edit after that, let em read it again, then last run thru and you’re good
I like to be thorough lol
what's a beta reader
Someone unrelated to the story who gives you feedback on it
They don’t have any part in writing it I mean
Best if it’s someone who is objective about it too
should it be another writer?
Depends
It should definitely be someone who knows how to write and use proper grammar
But they can just be an avid reader too
Yeah, my bf didn't realize how good he is but he popped on to my docs and made my wip way less choppy sounding
Oo that’s great
Yeah and he says he doesn't even write much
So he's just talented
That’s awesome lol
I wish I had that lol
I also heard a saying that to write better, you need to read more
have you noticed that to be true
_sprint
Idk bc I've been reading my whole life and I still suck at writing
