And I know it

2021-01-16 17:08:13 UTC

You really are a skin deep christian if you beleive that.

2021-01-16 17:08:15 UTC

That is the exact false doctrine to think that that means you can sin as many times as you like. That verse is true, but you cannot go out sinning because "I'm a Christian I can be forgiven!" Jesus himself says that if you truly love him, you will work to be more like him and that you won't use him as an excuse to sin.

2021-01-16 17:08:17 UTC

If that's the case then why are there sins that we are not supposed to do?

2021-01-16 17:08:18 UTC

You aren’t going to convince me other wise

2021-01-16 17:08:38 UTC

The only rule to being a Christian is believing in jeusus

2021-01-16 17:09:01 UTC

That is not even close. There is so much more that just "believing" in Jesus

2021-01-16 17:09:09 UTC

No there isn’t

2021-01-16 17:09:18 UTC

But there are rules set to christians they have to try to follow otherwise they are not a very good christian if they just ignore them

2021-01-16 17:09:24 UTC

It’s THAT simple and that hard at the same time

2021-01-16 17:09:35 UTC

Ill let the bible convince you. In the early church there were people who reveled in doing their sin while being in church even sleeping with their own mother and going "God forgives me so the sin does not matter."
And Paul said just because your forgiven does not give you an excuse to sin further.

2021-01-16 17:10:05 UTC

Jesus died on the cross so that all sins were forgiven, if you believe in him and ask for forgiveness you are a Christian

2021-01-16 17:10:15 UTC

Yea there is. You still have to hold up the Commandments. You have to hold Jesus' teachings to heart. And you have to love him. Believing means nothing if you don't love Jesus

2021-01-16 17:10:26 UTC

Likewise it was Jesus who said "Your lukewarm water and I spit out out of my mouth, it would be better if you were either cold or hot."

2021-01-16 17:10:32 UTC

Believing in Jesus is the only rule to Christianity

2021-01-16 17:10:52 UTC

You guys can try to add all this stuff in

2021-01-16 17:10:55 UTC

Doesn’t matter

2021-01-16 17:10:56 UTC

Telling a lie over and over does not make it true.

2021-01-16 17:10:57 UTC

No, it's not

2021-01-16 17:11:03 UTC

Fuck you. You call being gay a fucking bump in the road. It is a part of my identity. You are just making me lose faith in Christianity because you judge me for something I was born with and that I choose to act out. It may be a sin but I can become a better Christian. I can go to church and follow the example of Jesus. You act like I’m not a human willing I’d forgiveness and your so better because your straight. I’m done. I believe in him, I will follow the Ten Commandments, I will go to church and I will ask for forgiveness. If that doesn’t make me Christian nothing will ever make me one

2021-01-16 17:11:12 UTC

Believing in Jesus is all you need to do to be Christian

2021-01-16 17:11:42 UTC

Keep going

2021-01-16 17:11:46 UTC

I can do this all day

2021-01-16 17:12:01 UTC

You guys are just wrong

2021-01-16 17:12:04 UTC

I’m sorry

2021-01-16 17:12:04 UTC

Even if you feel sexual attraction towards someone of the same sex you can fight the urges, it is your choice

2021-01-16 17:12:34 UTC

No, it's not. Believing is a loose term. Believing means nothing if you do not love Jesus. It means nothing if you do not keep and honor his commandments. It means nothing if you do not follow his teachings and hold them to heart.

2021-01-16 17:12:56 UTC

You know nothing about gay people

2021-01-16 17:13:49 UTC

My brother was gay for a long time, and through god he got through it, on his own

2021-01-16 17:14:51 UTC

Oh really, well I bet none of you beside this guy has ever none a gay person

2021-01-16 17:15:02 UTC

You know, he’s still gay right, he’s probably just too scared to admit it; and now hides it and is suffering

2021-01-16 17:15:08 UTC

Homosexuality is not supported by science or major world religions, therefore, if people are "born that way" then it is a mental illness

2021-01-16 17:15:19 UTC

No, he is married to a woman

2021-01-16 17:15:29 UTC

And has no sexual attraction to men

2021-01-16 17:15:29 UTC

And probably hating it

2021-01-16 17:15:36 UTC

No its not part of your identity, being gay is most people who go into gay cultures identity. You are you and if you are so much a part of one of your habits then is it really even you? If you are so much of a football player you are no longer human without it?
Nobody cares if you think guys are hot. Nobody thinks you are a bad person because of it. But if you say you are part of a group of people who obey the rules god wants us to live by but you want to break the rules and pretend you are not then you are just a selfish person who wants other people to accept you even if you do sin.

Let me put this a different way. What if I was born a theif and I identify as a thief? And I become a christian but I am stealing from other christians or worst, people who are not christians. Should I be allowed to still be a christian while I blatantly tell others "You cant judge me! only god can jusdge me and I was born with this natural urge and telling me to do otherwise even though it breaks the teachings of christians is wrong. Fuck you!"

2021-01-16 17:15:38 UTC

Also, it would be very messed up if you and your family pressure him to not be gay

2021-01-16 17:15:39 UTC

Or he was never gay to begin with

2021-01-16 17:15:42 UTC

I gotta go

2021-01-16 17:15:47 UTC

Me as well

2021-01-16 17:15:52 UTC

Run away
