what is going on here?
I stopped caring about what we were all arguing about after other people stopped caring and got sarcastic. Triggered a few of the pearl clutching type with my good humored mocking.
Honestly I dont know whats got everyones knickers in a twist. Ribbing and teasing dont break rules, are not rude, dont drop to the point of accusing people of things like being a druggy or other internet insults. Everything was above the belt. Well, everything I said anyway.
Remember the old, treat others as you would have them treat you? Well some people around here claiming to be christians dropped that rule, and I didnt drop to that level. They used flashy buzzfeed words and I still didnt care. But once they drop to personal insults, lets call it Shapiro mode. I dont care about your feelings and I hope your a fan of the internet aristocrat, the last bastion of free speech Mr. Metokur.
If anything convervatives and religeous people of the past decade or so have shown us how much they care about free speech, fair treatment and other such endevors regarding the first amendment. "If they slap you on one cheek let them slap you on the other." But they seem to forget that Jesus overthrew an entire temple not long after. Jesus was not about people just going along with things. He did things, things the religious community clutched their pearls at saying "think of the children!"
He fought to save people and then they stabbed him in the back just as fast.
if there are people "Shocked and offended" at how I simply express myself on the internet, do yourself a favor. Dont read the bible. Filled with all kinds of killing, betrayal, harsh words, curses, God killing people, all that sort of thing. And by all means dont read the chapter with David and Bathsheba around the kids.
To me mercy you are the one who is clutching pearls, and I don't want there to be any bad blood between us either. But seriously if what you took from the scripture was that there was all these different things we needed to do to receive gods forgiveness I just don't agree. No one needs to pray the gay away, no one needs to feel like their sexuality is affront to god, the only requirement just like everyone else is to believe god died for your sins and ask for forgiveness, and really believe that and not just say it. All of the other things, to me, is just fluff and tradition that man created. And when I see someone in distress because they somehow feel like they were rejected from god's love because of their sexuality like you implied with bluepilled it just makes me cringe, because I know all that stuff is just man made schlock to me. All blue-pilled needs to do is do exactly what you and I do, which is believe in Jesus and ask for forgiveness, he doesn't need to somehow stop being who he is, he doesn't need to pray the gay away, he doesn't even need to stop practicing homosexuality, because that's not what it means to ask for forgiveness, that's not what god demands, that's what people who are uncomfortable with homosexuality demand. God demands one thing from everyone, belief in god, and a love for him. Everything else, pearl clutching, tradition created by man, has nothing to do with what god actually wants. You are free to disagree with me, you clearly value tradition, I respect that, but if someone wants to be christian and the barrier to entry is the dumb tradition, then I say begone with the tradition and let them love god and be loved by god. They don't need to bother you, just let other people guide them to god who do not hold stock in your traditions.
Grant I really could care less for what you say. I dont deal with spin doctors.
However I must admit that Kit had a point and I got carried away. "do not delight in the misfortunes of your enemies." Thats always a hard one for me. So I am sorry if I got carried away Kit.
How do you practice homosexuality? 😂
I guess I didn't get the handbook 😂
Anyways continue with your conversation I just thought that was funny
Geez how long does this argument go on for?!
As long as I am not the only one who laughed then I did my job *Buzz lightyear salute*
It's better to be in paradise after death a person of Christ rather than in the eternal flame a 'good person'.
Ut in Omnibus Glorificetur Deus. Vado Santana!
Vade Retro, Satana
May God Bless you +
You too.
Deus vult!?!?!?
Oh... God really hates america right now.
“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.’
Mark 9:42-44
Prove that you'll stay in hell
wat?
If you don't repent
?
thats not really stated in those verses
what those verses say is that dont intentionally corrupt children with bad principles knowingly and how hell is just an ever suffering place.
Ok I was talking about the 2nd half
To stumble means to fall into lust I believe
That sounds like speculation
It's either lust or just sin.
"If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out"
So that passage could relate to lust
But I think
Stumbling in general means to sin
yeah
Here is a brain teaser for all of you religious people.
God is omniscient meaning he knows everything that will happen from beginning to end. He knows all and creates all.
So here is the question, Since he is omniscient:
1. Why did he create Satan if he knew he was the one who would pervert not only humanity but also a third of his other angels?
2. If God made Satan knowing all of this and the part he would play with Jesus and that Jesus needed someone to kill him unjustly, Is it fair to punish Satan knowing that you made him and he would fulfill your prophecy?
My resposne to that is this: God knows the end from the beginning, it doesnt mean that our lives are one linear path, but He would know the outcome of every path we might take. He didn't create Satan to be the Devil, He created Lucifer, the light-bringer. An angel with endless potential. Lucifer decided to take a path that caused him and 1/3 of the hosts of Heaven to be cast out. Did God know that this was a possibility? Yes, but He didn't deny Lucifer the right to agency and coice, even though he knew how it could (and did) turn out.
So what your saying is that free will is not limitless potential, so much as it is a cone of what 'could' happen, and while god knows the outcome of every potential choice, the choice is still the persons to make.
Interesting take. Ive not seen that argument before.
