first off, are there not rules agaisnt this stuff? ik teachers do be acting like this b/c i have several who do, but surely they are not supposed to? In terms of topics, how about something that isnt super political, like improved roadways?

2021-01-10 00:13:37 UTC

idk what they are like in Chicago/Illinois, but if they are like the rest of the country, I imagine they are a disaster

2021-01-10 00:21:04 UTC

Its a "democratic issue"

2021-01-10 01:12:16 UTC

so what defines a "democratic" issue?

2021-01-10 01:19:44 UTC

"Voting Rights/Access, Gerrymandering, Court System, Campaign Finance Reform, Electoral System"

2021-01-10 01:22:57 UTC

👀 is that a list you can only pick from?

2021-01-10 01:30:10 UTC

Damn

2021-01-10 01:30:11 UTC

Yes

2021-01-10 01:30:46 UTC

I can't do Statehood to US territories

2021-01-10 01:39:24 UTC

lmao

2021-01-10 01:39:54 UTC

campaign finance reform seem to be the best thing to do imo 👀 you don't venture into the politic as much

2021-01-10 01:48:08 UTC

I have

2021-01-10 01:48:17 UTC

absolutely no idea how to do that

2021-01-10 01:57:47 UTC

i'm guessing it's about how to better spend the money received from campaign donation, or its financial loopholes?

2021-01-10 02:01:38 UTC

Yea

2021-01-10 02:04:36 UTC

try scouting the internet for a bit 👀 i think there are enough articles talking about the potential corruption/influence for campaign finance

2021-01-10 02:05:51 UTC

I have to do English right now😩(My teacher is an SJW so she made us write about Climate Change and I have to include 2 Rhetorical Devices). Thx for the advice though

2021-01-10 02:08:58 UTC

write about it in a flowery way or science-y way? 😂

2021-01-10 02:09:36 UTC

I suck at rhetoric devices and I'm using Wikipedia to find out about types of Rhetoric devices since I forget their meanings

2021-01-10 02:18:34 UTC

i can help with that. the easiest is metaphor/simile

2021-01-10 02:18:45 UTC

Yea

2021-01-10 02:18:51 UTC

Those I remember

2021-01-10 02:19:05 UTC

But like politics and rhetoric devices?

2021-01-10 02:19:10 UTC

Like WHY

2021-01-10 02:20:41 UTC

<:KEK:795742276549607456>

2021-01-10 02:20:43 UTC

idk

2021-01-10 02:21:34 UTC

how about just write your normal essay, don't stress out about the devices. then post it here and we can work on it together?

2021-01-10 04:43:33 UTC

damn, sounds like your teacher/school may be trying to build a profile on its students, considering those are all current talking points amongst most democrats. <:CursedEmoji:763140778770825247>

2021-01-10 04:44:42 UTC

I'd agree with pineapple, finance reform is likely the best thing to choose if you don't want to look like a "Trumpkin" or "maggot." :\

2021-01-10 05:16:49 UTC

Yes, thats why I needed a liberal topic

2021-01-10 16:48:01 UTC

I have to take a Global Justice course for my Mechanical engineering major. Seems super unrelated.

2021-01-10 17:09:42 UTC

Bullshit

2021-01-10 17:11:01 UTC

I mean. It is always cool to expand your horizon and learn new things, even when you dont agree with the politics

2021-01-10 17:18:51 UTC

Maybe ask a liberal. There’s Chaz although idk how much he’s here or if it doesn’t become a huge debate

2021-01-10 17:36:16 UTC

I think he dips now

2021-01-10 17:36:30 UTC

Usually he left the server and came back after a while

2021-01-10 18:00:02 UTC

welp

2021-01-10 23:17:00 UTC

Welp I’m lost

Also is it the problem with the equation I put or since I can figure it out from there

2021-01-10 23:40:24 UTC

I am having dinner. Gimme a few minutes 👀

2021-01-10 23:42:57 UTC

You are on the right track. Sub in x into the second equation and solve for y. Then sub the result of y back into the first equation
