you name it
what else is important in life?
... again, what? I honestly don't think I've **ever** heard anyone dismiss disproportionate outcomes before. Okay, let's start with poverty rates. Poverty rates are disproportionate to certain minorities and white people. Crime rates are disproportionate, incarceration rates are disproportionate, marriage rates are disproportionate, wedlock is disproportionate, funding for schools is disproportionate, access to healthcare is disproportionate. I could go on for the next hour listing things.
ok... this will take awhile to type...
Like, there is a tangible reason this is the case.
And it needs correction.
Just because people in the past said "lol not my problem" doesn't mean it's not a problem, I hope people realize that.
so the homeless problem does not exist because the MSM refuses to cover it? is that the disproportionate outcomes you are referring?
No?
ahh thought that may have been the systemic stuff you was talking about. so we need more unlawful immigrants becuse we cant even help the population we have then?
The heck are you even talking about? You're so far from the original point at this point.
ok back on topic people that are here unlawful like should get the same as the population does now...
Stop applying your leftist stereotypes to me please as more 'whataboutisms' when we're dealing with a single topic at hand.
yawn yea so whom didnt have equal opportunity in you world view?
A few minority groups, particularly those having been suppressed through various ways in the past 220+ish years.
so the world is racist and we need to fix it by lowering the bar so that noone can do well...
No. This is just some random talking point you're bringing up because I don't think you understand my position in the slightest.
It's nothing but a poor attempt at a strawman.
i am trying to but the resolve is not equality of outcome. at least in my view. poor need a leg up not a handout...
Yikes if you want to consider attempting to repair the schism created by injustice, racism, slavery and whatnot with the term 'handout', that's on you. Doesn't look good though.
I've never even said anything racist, you keep going off on some random stereotype of leftists you have.
As if that's something I'm doing/saying, when it's not.
slavery toward the poor and injustice only if you dont have moneys
so solution is to no longer have identity politics. we can stop pointing the finger at Minority groups and move on. Poor is the majority so lets fix that and give them the same rights as the rich. Problem solved...
Weird interpretation of wanting to correct injustices done on a particular people.
Lifting the poor doesn't fix the problem of disproportionate outcomes.
so we identify the ones that get injustices? no just help them all. i have not seen people put into these groups as only a result of they birth values... how do we have disproportionate outcomes if we all got a fair shot?
Disagree vehemently. Pushing the problem aside yet again for another 50+ years is unacceptable on a moral principle.
There is no fair shot.
This is something that simply doesn't exist.
so men and woman have a fair shot in divorce?
Completely unrelated.
Stop the whataboutisms, especially those that aren't even relevant.
umm are we not talking about one minority getting an unfair shake just because the way they was born?
No, because the way they were treated in the past leaves many of them still in poverty, their school systems suck in comparison, and they have far fewer resources, far higher crime rates due to disproportional poverty rates. This is something that's existed for a long time, and people have put it off as 'not their problem' for the last 150 years to avoid any sense of responsibility.
yea so if all poor people get they 2 goats and 40 acre's everyone is happy now?
as i am not responsible for them being oppressed 150 yrs ago. as for now we all all the same level...
I know I'm being "insensitive" by typing this, but I want to point out that I dont think less of people of any other race/color. I dont think of myself as superior or any better. I have an overall frustration in life regarding unequal treatment, where I think all people should be treated equally. And it has affected me so so so many times in life, and that has been unfair treatment....
also please keep in mind that we are talking about BLUE states, where i said such discrimination happens, not entire US
healthcare - that is a myth. I spent years working in healthcare specifically I know what happens from financial side. I can tell you for a fact that minorities generally pay significantly less for healthcare (on the order of 10x less magnitude), and usually get the benefit of better more comprehensive treatment, and quite often without a bill. This is nationwide, not just blue states
SCHOOL and EDUCATION: funding for schools - do we have racial segregation still? No, we dont. On the contrary, as far as schools are concerned, minorities get special scholarships often for reduced tuition in private schools. In BLUE states (which is what I was referring to with discrimination), I dont think there would be a single classroom, anywhere, where you would not see a large proportion of minorities. Not a single one. So this is not true. I dont want to say with 100% certainty, but I dont believe that in NE, and entire west coast pretty much, there are non mixed communities anymore.
@Eden, you just advanced to level 15!
