i write myself...., nothing published though

I've only published along with a few of my friends in a library writing group, in 2010, but they allowed me a dozen poems. My current, rather advanced, group encourages me to publish my 70 or 80 poems, but I got hit on my bike by a car 4 years ago and have not gotten all together yet. But I'm still leaning towards it . My daughter, who's been 39 for the last 9 years will deal with them if I don't get to it

@The_Savage_One🌑♥♠👑. Haha. I watched the first quarter of that superbowl game. I was rooting for Chicago. New England's quarterback was in way over his head. This political mess has distracted me for thr last couple of years
O suppose I'll have to write something about it to ever get past it

i know what you mean, thoughts, just a whole bunch of thoughts, keep circling and flooding my brain, these past few months in particular

I started writing after I got divorced, when I was 45, and moved 80 miles north, back to my home repair clients, in Sacramento. Each time I visited my two boys, down in Modesto, I had to drive back up the ugly drive on highway 99. Each trip I'd re-experience the same depressing thoughts. So I began writing them down, hoping to get a grip on them. After two years I had written my first two poems, among my best. I think. And joined a library poetry group. The first time I experienced really close friends. Since then, it's become the biggest part of my life

A Peace of Decency
Let the innocent moments of true amnesty
Bring together the children in both you and me.
Using truths from within us and pure honesty,
Laying down our defences.
The farther we'll see.

its like, you feel like something big is coming, but youre not sure what, exactly it is, but that unknown has you feeling both peaceful and excited at the same time

its confusing, but its a happy kind of confused lol

its uncontrollable, like your whole body is holding its breath
